Area Sales Manager (Central and Eastern Europe)

 

We are looking for a dynamic, strategic and positive new member for our successful and driven team at ofi. Ideally with at least 5 years of experience in the food specialty ingredients. Fluent in English and Russian

JOB ROLE SUMMARY
As Area Sales Manager, you will be fully accountable for our success in Central and Eastern Europe. You will develop and implement a growth strategy. You will drive the transition in your Area from a commodity portfolio to a specialty one, making sure to maximize our market presence.

JOB DESCRIPTION
As Area Sales Manager, you are accountable for the success of our portfolio in Central en Eastern Europe. You will manage the existing sales and develop a strategy for growth through a deep understanding of the market and the customer needs.

Reporting into the Head of Sales EMEA – Spices, you will work in close cooperation with the sales team, the customer operations team, quality department as well as the origin teams. 

As Area Sales Manager at Olam Spices you will…

  • Be or become an expert in each market under your responsibility, including market players, main customers, legislation, trends, cultural preferences, relevant associations, etc.
  • Develop and implement a growth strategy in the region.
  • Become an expert on our products and provide guidance to customers to integrate or create new solutions.
  • Manage existing customers in the Area with a focus on growth. 
  • Build, develop and maintain constructive and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at our customers. 
  • Pro-actively develope sales opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Manage contract negotiations in close cooperation with the respective product origin teams.
  • Maintain and manage your project pipeline actively.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and visit reports with clear objectives and actions 
  • Travel as needed once the restrictions allow it. 
     

Ideally with 5+ years of experience in a consultative sales position within the food ingredients industry.

  • With a Bachelor degree or higher. 
  • Able to fluently communicate in English and Russian, any other European language will be an advantage.
  • Creative in finding solutions, a strategic thinker who also takes action and executes. 
  • With a passion for business development and revenue growth.
  • Able to understand market dynamics
  • The ability to communicate with and influence decision-makers at all levels. 
  • An interest or previous experience in the food ingredients industry
  • With a go-getter attitude, at ease in a sales & marketing role
  • Results oriented with good negotiation skills and the ability to link short term goals with long term goals for customers and Olam.
  • A natural born people person, with very good listening skills and with the ability to create strong relationships with customers.
  • Flexible and open to new situations and people, enthusiastic, assertive, commercially minded, with a hunger for new learnings and fun to work with.
