Position Summary: 
ofi’s specialty cocoa business supplies premium cocoa ingredients including cocoa beans, powder, butter, mass and premixes to chefs, bakers and artisan chocolate producers around the world. The marketing manager role will be accountable for designing and executing a comprehensive global marketing strategy to support the commercial goals of this business.

This will involve developing and executing both online and offline marketing strategies, as well as managing their associated budgets. Additionally, the marketing manager must continuously monitor our market positioning and make data-informed decisions to recommend adjustments. 

This is an opportunity in a key strategic initiative area for ofi, which will offer high-level management exposure and great growth prospects. This role will appeal to individuals with an entrepreneurial mindset who are self-motivated and willing to work in a start-up environment within the support structure of a larger organization. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for developing and delivering a long term, global, omni-channel marketing strategy to include goals, structure, metrics, and budget in line with global specialty cocoa strategy.
    • Identify, organize and relationship manage regional marketing support and third-party agencies where applicable.
    • Use data driven results to reinforce successful initiatives and scale back unsuccessful ones.
  • Support the development of targeted and relevant content to be broadcast through multiple channels.
  • Direct the user experience and content strategy for relevant websites and social media.
  • Support the management of a global network of external chef partners and coordinate content development.
  • Work closely with the business development and sales teams to gather insights on how to tailor messaging and understand results.
  • Work closely with both Cocoa division and wider OFI marketing teams to ensure alignment between core brand requirements and specialty strategy.
  • Coordinate and manage relationships across the whole creative ecosystem. This includes but is not limited to agencies, ambassadors and independent consultants.

Position Requirements: 

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience with a proven track-record in influencing all elements of the marketing mix. Ability is preferred over experience. Track-record in launching new products would be a plus.
  • Experience in the specialty food or foodservice industry. Direct cocoa or chocolate experience would be a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent English language verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to build trust at all levels.
  • Self-starter who can make decisions.
  • Willingness to work from our London office.
  • Willingness to travel internationally.
