Category Manager Procurement

 

We are hiring for Procurement Category Manager role for below mentioned categories:

  • EU Category manager CapEx;
  • EU Category manager Facility Management & Services

The roles are instrumental in building procurement at ofi. You will lead procurement of one of the defined commodities – CapEx or FM & Services. You will build procurement practice from scratch defining addressable spend, sourcing strategy, bringing onboard stakeholders and driving cost optimization. We need an owner, who will be accountable for the entire journey in given space.

We are looking for 2 new colleagues with “hands on” attitude, holistic approach to building strategies, decent attention to details and perfect change management skills. Exceptional stakeholder management and discipline in strategies implementation is a key to be successful in both roles.

Experience in end to end project management, transformational projects implementation within the category is desired.

Initially scope will include 6 factories across Europe expanding further into EMEA region starting from middle 2022.

Responsibilities:

  • “Scan” and understand scope – the role is new at ofi hence you will have to evaluate and build a complete understanding of addressable spend, suppliers profile, financial arrangements (payment terms, bank guarantees, etc.), stakeholder needs, “as is”;
  • Build and implement a procurement strategy which must be scalable across all European facilities;
  • Define deliverables and KPIs within the category performance on short- and long-term basis;
  • Play an active role in building procurement practices – including policies development, procurement systems implementation, automation tools, e-sourcing working closely with procurement excellence team;
  • Define, map out and implement cost reduction/optimization opportunities;
  • Develop initiatives to improve suppliers’ performance and implement supplier’s relationship management approach within given category;
  • Identify, evaluate & select suppliers, negotiate and close framework-agreements of EU region services/goods;
  • Work together with legal, finance and other teams to develop and implement contract templates within the category and drive process standardization;
  • Contribute in product demand optimization (e.g. improving specification, etc.) throughoutofi via collaboration with the relevant business partners;
  • Maintain and develop in-depth knowledge of best practices and benchmarks within category;
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance, compliance with their commitments, address & resolve operational issues is there are any caused by suppliers;
  • Drive sustainability agenda within the category.

Candidate:

  • Master’s degree;
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience;
  • Expertise in respective markets, legislation and contracts negotiations.
  • Demonstrable track record of success in managing complex projects and developing procurement practices;
  • Excellent command of English is required. Additional language skills are desirable;
  • Strong negotiation skills and result driven personality;
  • Excellent interpersonal, business acumen, communication and supplier relationship management skills;
  • Team player;
  • Strategic thinker and pragmatic worker.
